Is it strange to admit I miss Bunnies and Burrows? This old RPG was based on the world of intelligent rabbits such as in Richard Adam’s Watership Down.
I never got a chance to really play this game like it probably should be played. The few times I played it, the party ended up challenging various barnyard animals for dominance of the farm.
One clever mechanic in this game was that the farmer’s first shot always missed. Since being on the receiving end of a gun blast usually means bunny death, the rules allowed for a warning shot.
While Fantasy Games Unlimited doesn’t really list it on their website any more, it is possible to get one version of Bunnies and Burrows from RPGNow.
